Skating at The Loop

Nothing says winter fun quite like ice skating. The Loop is an outdoor skating trail at Bannerman Park that’s perfect no matter what your skill level. Bring along some hot chocolate and make a day (or night!) of it.

Check Out Cape Spear

Cape Spear is the most eastern point in North America, which means it’s as close as you can get to Europe without leaving the country. Pretty cool.

Explore Quidi Vidi

Stroll around this charming St. John’s neighbourhood that’s just a few-minute drive outside of the city center. This iconic area is known for its colourful buildings that line the coast. The only thing that could make it more picturesque is a light dusting of snow.

George Street

Looking for a night out? That’s what George Street is for. These blocks are filled with pubs, restaurants and bars, so head here to unwind after a long day of sight-seeing. Oh, and don’t forget to listen to some live Newfoundland music.

Get Screeched In

It wouldn’t be a trip out east without the authentic Newfoundland experience of being “Screeched In.” This famous ceremony turns you into an honorary Newfoundlander and involves dancing, shots and kissing a fish. Pucker up!
