It’s 4:45 pm and you have 15 minutes to whip up a delicious appetizer for friends coming over after work. What do you choose? A Creamy Cheesy Beer Dip of course! Who can resist the delicious taste of beer, let alone cheese AND beer? In three easy steps, you’ll be a master chef in no time.

Before you get started, you might want to taste test a few beers so you know which one is your favourite. Personally, we like to go with a crisp lager.

Ingredients

- ¼ cup of butter
- ¼ cup of all purpose flour
- ½ cup of lager beer
- 1 cup of whole milk
- 2 tsp of dry mustard (or dijon)
- ½ tsp of garlic powder
- ½ tsp of onion powder
- ½ tsp of kosher salt
- ¼; tsp of black pepper
- ⅛ tsp of cayenne pepper
- pinch of dried parsley (optional)
- 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese
- ½ cup of mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup of gruyere cheese

Step One:
Melt butter, seasonings, and flour together and mix until fully combined (about 1 minute)

Step Two:
Slowly pour in beer and milk and whisk together.

Step Three:
Once the mixture is thick and bubbling, add in cheese and stir until melted.

Serve your dip with salty pretzels, warm bread or crisp vegetables to make your appetizer a great one!
