15 Minute Appetizer: Holiday Brie Bake

Keep your guests feeling merry and bright with this delicious holiday-inspired recipe!

So you’re hosting a holiday party, or at least are attending one that needs a killer appetizer, huh? Lucky for you we’ve got you covered. Dripping in decadence and holiday cheer this quick & easy recipe is sure to impress even the pickiest of in-laws and estranged cousins at your next family gathering.

Ingredients

- ½ cup of chopped walnuts
- 1/3 cup of your favourite type of cranberry sauce
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- 1 ½ tablespoons of melted butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon of your favourite bourbon
- 1 sprig of fresh rosemary

Step One:

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the brie in a small baking dish, something like a small pie pan or a cast iron. If you plan on transferring it out of the dish after baking, add in a piece of parchment paper to the dish before you place in the brie.

Step Two(Optional):

If you’re feeling artsy, coax off the top hard layer of the brie. Scoop out a small piece of the centre for you to place your filling in (you can eat this scoop as a snack for yourself for all your hard work so far).

Step Three:

Mix together cranberry sauce, brown sugar, flour, melted butter, vanilla and bourbon.

Step Four:

Top the brie with your mixture and then place chopped walnuts on top.

Step Five:

Bake until ooey-gooey and bubbly (approximately 10 minutes).

Step Six:

Top with a fresh sprig of rosemary, because you’re fancy like that.
