If you’re using your Quarter to Five to prep and impress in 15 minutes or less, we’ve got you covered. Follow our recipe for the most delicious and easy appetizer - caprese skewers in a sticky beer & honey glaze!

Ingredients:

• 1 pack of cherry tomatoes

• 1 bushel of fresh basil

• 1 package of Bocconcini cheese

• 2 bottles of your favourite beer - we recommend a light lager like Molson Ultra or an Old Style Pilsner

• 100 ml of honey

• 2 tbs of brown sugar

• 1 tsp of cornstarch

• ½ tbs of English mustard

• Skewers, duh

Step One

Mix one of your beers with the honey and sugar in a pot over a medium heat and bring to the boil.

Step Two

Crack open your second beer and enjoy while waiting for your sauce to boil.

Step Three

One your mixture is boiling, turn heat to low and let simmer for about 10 minutes.

Step Four

Add in your mustard and cornstarch and whisk into your glaze. Then, bring to a boil until the glaze has thickened.

Step Five

Assemble your skewers. We prefer, tomato, basil leaf, boccocini - in that order, but to each their own. Once your glazed has cooled, drizzle over and enjoy with the rest of your Pilsner or your Molson Ultra!
